CALL TO WORSHIP
Amy
Woods, Liturgist
We
have been called to be the church.
We
have each been given gifts by our God.
Gifts to use in service to God and our neighbors.
Let
us worship God with a united spirit and purpose.
*OPENING HYMN NO. 477 Ye Servants of God, Your Master Proclaim
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Almighty and most loving God, you have showered us with many gifts.
Each of us has something special to share with one another. Forgive
us when we fail to develop our gifts or use them for selfish
purposes. Forgive us when we try to rank our gifts or claim to be
better than others. Help us to recognize that you love each and
every one of us. Continue to fill us with your Holy Spirit; that we
might come together in love and work for the building of your
kingdom. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
*RESPONSE: HYMN NO. 572 Lord, Have Mercy Upon Us
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON (from Psalm 36)
Your steadfast love extends throughout the heavens, O Lord.
How
precious is your steadfast love, O Lord.
The
righteous take refuge in the shadow of your wings.
Continue your love and salvation to those who know
you.
*Gloria
Patri, P. 579
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost;
As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

ANTHEM Many Gifts, One
Spirit Alan Pote
Many gifts, one spirit; many songs, one voice.
Many reasons, one promise; many questions, one choice.
O
God, we pray for unity; give guidance from above.
In
our differences unite us in the circle of your love.
O
God, remind us we are not alone.
Though we move on diff’rent pathways, we are walking to your throne.
Help us learn to love each other; show us ways to understand.
We
are members of one family, growing strong by joining hands.
Take our many ways of working; blend the colors of each soul
Into the beauty of a rainbow. Give us life, Lord, make us whole.
