*CALL TO WORSHIP
Sharyl Hansen,
Liturgist
From the wanderings of our lives, we have come
to gather here.
We bring life with us, to this time and
place.
Come here, offering your lives before God,
And the presence of God will go with us and
remain with us in our play and work, in our resting and our service.
*OPENING HYMN
We Thirst For You, O God
Tune: LEONI
We thirst for you, O
God, in places parched and dry.
The goodness of your
grace alone can satisfy.
Your covenant is true;
your faithfulness is sure.
Your mercy flows, and
endless stream so free and pure.
We thirst for you, O
God, in arid, weary lands.
We call upon your holy
name and lift our hands.
You answer with a
feast to fill the hungry soul;
You bless us with
abundant love and make us whole.
We thirst for you, O
God, like wanderers of old.
We are your pilgrim
people still, your flock and fold.
Pour out your Spirit’s
gifts; let living water flow
Until the reign of
heaven fills the earth below.
*PRAYER OF
CONFESSION
Spirit and Breath of Life, before you we
recognize that our spirits are not fully alive. We have succumbed
to the sin of despair; we have been lifeless, not lively, in our
faith. Like dry bones, we are brittle and break under pressure.
Breathe your Spirit of power into us, that our faith may be active,
in word and in deed, and that your name may be glorified in Jesus,
our Christ. Amen.
*RESPONSE:
HYMN NO. 572 Lord Have Mercy Upon Us
*ASSURANCE OF
PARDON
The good news is that we depend not on

Thanks be to God. Amen
