ANTHEM         We’re Marching to Zion   Timothy Shaw, arr.

                         Chelsea Holland, triangle
                      Jonathan Holland, snare drum

Come, we that love the Lord, and let our joys be known;

Join in a song with sweet accord and thus surround the throne.

We’re marching to Zion, beautiful, beautiful Zion;

We’re marching upward to Zion, the beautiful city of God.

Let those refuse to sing who never knew our God;

But children of the heav’nly king may speak their joys abroad.

Then let our songs abound and ev’ry tear be dry;

We’re marching through Immanuel’s ground to fairer worlds on high.

ANTHEM       It is Good                             David Lantz III
                              Text: Susan Bentall
Boersma

It is good to give thanks to the God of creation
Who dwells in the heavens above.
In His presence we stand with the great congregation
To sing of His goodness and love.

 It is good to give thanks for the world He has fashioned,
the sun and the moon to give light.
He determined the number of stars, and He named them;
He rules both the day and the night.

It is good, it is good to give thanks to the Lord,
Singing praise to His glorious Name.
It is good, it is good to remember His love
And His faithfulness, ever the same.

It is good to give thanks and forever exalt Him,
So great is His power and might.
And His pleasure is found in His children who fear Him.
Our praise is to Him a delight.

OFFERTORY         Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah                                  Alan Viner

ANTHEM                “Come, Thou Fount”      Dennis Allen, arr.

                            Chelsea Holland, conductor

Come, thou fount of ev’ry blessing, tune my heart to sing thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing, call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above;
Praise his name; I’m fixed upon it, name of God’s redeeming love.

 Hitherto thy love has blest me; thou hast brought me to this place;
And I know thy hand will bring me safely home by thy good grace.

Jesus sought me when a stranger, wand’ring from the fold of God;
He, to rescue me from danger, bought me with his precious blood.

O to grace how great a debtor daily I’m constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wand’ring heart to thee:

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it; seal it for thy courts above.

ANTHEM            “I Know Whom I Have Believed”        James McGranahan
                                           Men’s Choir

I know not why God’s wondrous grace to me he hath made known,

Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love redeemed me for his own.

But I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able

To keep that which I’ve committed unto him against that day.

I know not how this saving faith to me he did impart,

Nor how believing in his word wrought peace within my heart.

I know not when my Lord may come, at night or noonday fair,

Not if I’ll walk the vale with him, or meet him in the air.

ANTHEM    “Cantate Domino”  Giuseppe Pitoni (1657-1743)
                                                  Text: Psalm 149:1-2

Cantate Domino canticum novum, laus ejus in ecclesia sanctorum.

Laetetur Israel in eo, qui fecit eum, et filii Sion exsultent in rege suo.

Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of the faithful! Let Israel be glad in his Maker, let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King!
