Advent Combined Sunday School
This year, we will be combining the three Sunday morning groups and anyone else interested in exploring further the season of Advent as we gather in the Fellowship Hall at 9:45am, discussion begins at 10am.

About the event
We will be using Vanderbilt New Testament professor, Amy-Jill Lavine’s book, A Child is Born: A Beginner’s Guide to Nativity Stories.
Levine will guide us through the fascinating connections between ancient birth stories and the Nativity of Jesus. We will discuss the births of Isaac and Ishmael, Samson, and Samuel to reveal how they foreshadow and enrich the timeless Christmas story. This study will highlight how Scripture's earlier birth stories anticipate the story of Jesus’s birth and how the birth resonates and gives new meaning to those earlier stories.
